Stellar Blade developer SHIFT UP has announced that the game will have the same uncensored content across all regions, including Japan, though nothing particularly outrageous is likely to be shown in the ESRB M-rated title.
The details were confirmed by the developers on Twitter today, featuring an image with a giant cross over a censored screenshot. The message was relayed in both English and Japanese, with Japan already calling it a “butt game” similar to NieR: Automata (and director Yoko Taro endorsing the game jokingly as “better” as well)
Of course, people hurt over a game and a fictional butt are already using the announcement to bash the game further, with some quote replies saying things like “the announcement proves what audience the developer is making the game for” as if enjoying curvy female anatomy is a sin.
Of course, with Sony involved in the publishing of the game, it may never be unclear if certain things ended up on the cutting room floor to guarantee every region received the same game.
Tbf, the sad fucking truth here is that the Korean devs are more based than Japanese devs nowadays. One is rejecting the mentally ills, the other is bending their knees. Sad time.

All games on the platform have to comply with their censorship board. There are a few examples, but they did censor some Western games like Doki Doki Literature Club.
